Dog Food Recall Alert - July 14, 2023 - What the Raw Single Dried Sardines

On July 14, 2023 What the Raw voluntarily recalled 184 containers of Single Dried Sardines due to potential Clostridium Botulinum, also known as Botulism.

Symptoms of Botulism can appear 12-36 hours after ingesting the bacteria and can cause a variety of symptoms including weakness, paralysis and possibly death.

Here is a list of possible symptoms:

  • Vomiting and diarrhea
  • Drooling
  • Abdominal pain
  • Worsening weakness
  • Paralysis
  • Vision problems
  • Difficulty chewing and swallowing
  • Decrease in heart rate
  • Difficulty breathing

If you have purchased What the Raw - Single Dried Sardines packaged in shrink wrap with the following lot numbers: 250402202223, 121110202122, 210510202324, 141228202223, 210620202324 and expiration dates: 11/10/22, 04/02/2023, 12/28/2023, 05/10/2023, 06/20/2024, please dispose immediately.

If you have used any of these affected products please monitor your pet for vomiting, diarrhea and any other signs of illness and contact your veterinarian right away.
