Dog Food Recall Alert - April 14, 2025 - Blue Ridge Beef Puppy Mix
Heads up to all the dog and cat moms and dads — Blue Ridge Beef has voluntarily recalled certain lots of both Puppy Mix and Kitten Mix raw food due to contamination with Salmonella and Listeria. Time to check those freezers!

Package: 2 lb clear plastic logs (chubs)
Lot Number: N25 1230
(Look for the lot number stamped on the metal clip at the end of the bag)Where It Was Sold: Retail stores in these states:
Virginia
Maryland
Pennsylvania
Connecticut
Massachusetts
New York
Tennessee
Rhode Island
Wisconsin
Distributed Between: January 3–January 24, 2025
Why the Recall?
A customer reported an illness in a pet.
Samples collected on March 20th, 2025 by the New York State Department of Agriculture tested positive for Salmonella and Listeria.
Blue Ridge Beef was officially notified by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture on April 1st, 2025.
What Should You Do?
Stop feeding the recalled food right away.
Don’t donate or sell it — just return it to where you bought it or dispose of it safely (where kids, pets, and wildlife can’t get into it).

Watch for Symptoms
For People:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (possibly bloody), stomach cramps, fever
Rare but serious complications: joint pain, UTIs, or bloodstream infections
For Pets (dogs or cats):
Lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, tummy pain
Some pets may only have mild signs — or none at all — but still spread the germs
If you or your pet show symptoms after contact with this food, call your vet or healthcare provider right away.
